FAQ
After giving thousands of lessons in over a decade of business attempting to answer this question, in conjunction with the teaching staff, we’ve decided lessons are available to anyone age 8 and older. Though every situation is unique, so please feel free to come in and talk about it!
Since our lessons are all one-on-one private instruction sessions tailored specifically for each student, we don’t recommend it. This is an extremely difficult way to teach, and many students have difficulty learning this way. However, we do offer tandem lessons at a slightly higher rate.
Lessons are offered each day that we are open for business (Monday through Saturday). Teachers generally begin their teaching day in the early afternoon and are available into the evening with the final lesson being given at 7:30pm Monday through Thursday (one half hour before we close). Morning lessons are available on Saturdays. Please inquire about available time slots.
Anytime you like! You can call, email, or come into the store to schedule your first lesson. Since lesson slot availability is constantly changing, we ask that you wait to sign up until you are ready to begin lessons.
There is a variety of instrument lessons offered at Bay Tunes! Currently, we are proud to offer instruction for: acoustic or electric guitar, bass guitar, drum set, piano, voice, button accordion, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and many more! If you are interested in a type of lessons not shown here, please contact us!
Unfortunately, we do not offer amp, pedal, or device repair at this time. Here is a list of several repair places we recommend:
High Voltage
6305 Harris Heights Ave
Glen Burnie MD 21061
(410) 789-7505
(prosoundrepair.com)
Central Electronics
62 Ritchie Rd
Capitol Heights MD 20743
(301) 336-8589
(centralmusicwarehouse.com)
ProTech
12110 Tech Road
Silver Spring MD 20904
(240) 450-0308
(pro-tech.us)
We have some of the fastest turn around times in the business. For simple things, we can often do repairs while you wait or the same-day, though this is not always possible. As a rule of thumb, restringing and general setup work requires you leave your instrument with us for 1-2 days. Every situation is unique, but we endeavor to complete work as fast as possible!
