It is our mission to provide a learning experience that is both pleasurable and productive while helping you achieve goals both big and small. We are pleased to offer guitar (both electric and acoustic) and bass guitar lessons to students of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities at our Edgewater, MD storefront.
We believe our teachers to be the finest, most skilled, musically diverse group available. Each one unique, yet equally skilled to guide students in nearly any genre of interest. At Bay Tunes Guitars, teachers are more like family as the majority of them have been with us for more than a decade.
At Bay Tunes Guitars, each lesson is tailored to the desires and needs of the student. There are no programs, books, or video lessons available today that can help you reach your goals faster that one-on-one instruction. We encourage our teachers to draw on their vast experience to formulate a unique curriculum for each student.
All lessons are billed at a rate of $35 per 30 minute lesson. Pre-payment and auto-billing are required.

Ryan Lucas
Ryan began his professional playing and teaching career after receiving a B.M. in Music Technology with a concentration in Composition from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He has been playing guitar and bass guitar for 20+ years and has been teaching professionally since 2010. While at Duquesne, he studied music composition intensively and has had works premiered in concert, in film, and for dance.

Todd Kreuzburg
As the son of a notable guitar teacher, Todd has over 30 years of playing experience and over 20 years of teaching experience. Todd boasts expertise in many styles including rock, jazz, classical, and flamenco. He’s been performing in local and regional bands for decades. He also produces records for many local artists.

Paul Packett
As an extended member of the Bay Tunes founding family, Paul grew up surrounded by musicians and has grown to be one of the most capable and versatile and guitarists around. Paul has played in various bands touring and performing various styles of music and can teach nearly any style of guitar.

Mike Essex
As one of the founders of the Bay Tunes teaching staff, Mike is one of the finest guitar teachers around. Mike has played in various professional bands performing everything from jazz to rock. He specializes in jazz, blues, and rock, but can teach nearly any style of guitar.
