Thank you for inquiring about music lessons at Bay Tunes Guitars! It is our mission to provide a learning experience that is both pleasurable and productive while helping you achieve goals both big and small. We are pleased to offer guitar (both electric and acoustic), bass guitar, drum set, and vocal lessons to students of all backgrounds and abilities at our Annapolis, MD area studios.
We offer lessons in two different scheduling formats. An important aspect of education is consistency, thus, our recommended scheduling format gives the student one half hour of private instruction per week, on the same day, at the same time, with the same instructor. We schedule and bill for lessons in this manner one calendar month at a time. You may start lessons whenever you like, and your time spot will be guaranteed from month to month indefinitely. In this format only, you are eligible for a $2 per lesson discount if you elect for automatic payments (your credit card is automatically billed on your first lesson, each month).
Since we realize it can be difficult to set aside the same time each week, we now offer an a la carte lesson format. In this circumstance, we can only schedule one lesson at a time. Simply call when you have time, and we’ll work you onto the schedule as our teachers are available.
Regardless of instrument choice, lesson fees are the same:
Weekly lesson slot paid for monthly: $25.00/lesson
Ala Carte single lessons: $30.00/lesson
Tandem lessons: $35.00/lesson (see FAQ below, or click here)

New Rock Band School Program Beginning in February!
Bay Tunes Guitars is proud to announce our latest Rock Band School program - The Music Of Woodstock - will be starting on February 20th!
Some of the most influential musicians of all time played music at the Woodstock Festival in the Summer of '69. Now is your opportunity to learn some of the songs that helped make rock music what it is today.
Directed by Bay Tunes instructors Brad Kimes, Frankie G., Bruce Packett, and Jeff Packett, this RBS session will run for 8 weeks, with rehearsals on Monday OR Tuesday evenings from 8:00PM to 9:30PM. As always, we will have a finale performance at The Whiskey in Annapolis, MD on April 15th at 4:00PM.
Tuition for the 8 week course and finale performance is $295.00. Rock Band School is open to players aged 12 - 18. Registration is easy! Sign-up forms are available at the store, or register online by clicking here.

FAQ
Q: How young is too young for lessons?
A: After giving thousands of lessons in nearly a decade of business attempting to answer this question, in conjunction with the teaching staff, we’ve decided lessons are available to anyone age 8 and older. Though every situation is unique, so please feel free to come in and talk about it!
Q: Can I take a lesson with a friend or child?
A: Since our lessons are all one-on-one private instruction sessions tailored specifically for each student, we don't recommend it. This is an extremely difficult way to teach, and many students have difficulty learning this way. However, we do offer tandem lessons at a slightly higher rate.
Q: When are lessons offered?
A: Lessons are offered each day that we are open for business (Monday through Saturday). Teachers generally begin their teaching day in the early afternoon and are available into the evening with the final lesson being given at 7:30pm Monday through Thursday (one half hour before we close). Morning lessons are available on Saturdays. Please inquire about available time slots.
Q: When can we sign up?
A: Anytime you like! Since lesson slot availability is constantly changing, we ask that you wait to sign up until you are ready to begin lessons.
